Can't waste good satire

From The O.....

Palin should have been named cleanup czar
President Barack Obama missed the opportunity of a lifetime.
When the oil well blew out in the Gulf, Obama could have turned the world around.
He wants to be known as a uniter. He stated he wanted to change the way politics was played in Washington, D.C. He had his chance.
All he would have had to do on Day 2 of the blowout was go on TV and make the following speech:
“My fellow Americans, we are facing a catastrophe of biblical proportions. Many hundreds of miles of beaches are going to be gummed up with crude oil. Birds and fish alike are going to die due to this mess. So, I have decided to reach across the aisle in a bipartisan move to bring this crisis to a halt.
“I am asking former Gov. Sarah Palin to take a temporary post as clean-up czar for this mess. With her passion for doing the right thing, and her astonishing record for confronting the large oil companies (and winning), I am confident she can do it again.”
Problem solved. Palin would have to put up or shut up, and she would win. She would have twisted the arms of BP to get the supertankers in to suction the oil while the relief well is drilled.
It’s a win-win. Obama can make speeches (something he is passing good at), and Palin can fix the mess (something at which she excels).
And the American people would get the best of both worlds.

  1. The best part about this one was that IV took him seriously.
