Monday, I went to the Orthodoc and got another cortisone shot in the shoulder. It's improving, but the subsequent nerve/muscle pain and spasms are enough to drive you nuts (like I need help, huh?)
So, yesterday, we added a muscle relaxer to the medical treatment. Hey! It worked! It also knocked me on my ass and I slept away a good portion of the day, thus my days are nights and nights are days.
Anything for relief. This has been going for over three months. If I don't see complete relief by March it's knife time.

I happen to know Don Pierce and I know his intentions are good, but in reality he is a lobbyist. I'm not sure why Police Chiefs and Sheriffs would not want to see the black market eliminated (by competitive pricing....let's face it...pot is cheap to grow) nor do I understand why they would oppose more tax revenue to increase their manpower.

Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French--uhh, you know, Napoleon III or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the Devil. They said, "We will serve you if you'll get us free from the French." True story. And so the Devil said, "OK, it's a deal." And they kicked the French out—you know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free. But ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other—desperately poor. The future of ThurstonBlog
I have business to take up with The Olympian and I don't think there will be happy faces, so I'm going to avoid posts in The Olympian. I can legally quote anything I'd like, providing I credit it and if any media has a problem, the procedure is called a "cease and desist". It requires a legal name and address of the offended party and their representation, should they choose one. The Olympian, rightfully controls their blogs, but rightfully is responsible for their blogs, as am I for this one. It shall be interesting.
It is my intention to take this out of the public light, as I have aspirations for consideration for another non-profit job and I'm not interested in airing my fight with The Olympian in their product. That is their choice and control. That being said, I have no control over those that copy and paste from my blog and post on their blogs. They will need to maintain that.
After some serious consideration and watching the community growth at ThurstonBlog, I've taken the position that I could care less if the LTE thread is shut down. That is the business of The Olympian. I do know that if it IS shut down - or all of their blogs, for that matter - that removes the avenue for my detractors to post (for however long possible) detrimental matter about me. Obviously, it is to my advantage to see this happen. It's my intention to place The Olympian in a position of having to seriously moderate or shut down. I've tried to be patient and supportive to their labor challenges, but I'm not foresaking myself for their problems.
Looking forward. I thank those that have enjoyed and supported ThurstonBlog, so here is my pledge:
1. I'll rid the blog of any detractors IMMEDIATELY. I'm not running a personality contest here, and I don't give a damn about their stupidity concerning "freedom of speech".
2. I'll continue to cover the topical issues of our local newspaper, as it is local news just as much as any other local news, but like a good blogger, I'll use the resources right in front of my face to find other topical issues to converse.
3. I'll continue to encourage those with the desire, to submit information to register for blog author positions. This will broaden the horizon of information sources.
The success of ThurstonBlog will depend on the comments and contributions of the community. I'd like to see a mix of political positions, but I'll not allow extremism to run roughshod over the discussion. I have asked several conservative minded people to consider participating with us. I think, given the time and a little less controversy, they'll dip their toe in the waters. I may even take up a conservative cause, as there are certain issues I find myself on the Right of center.
Humor is important and, regardless of what some might say, there are some damned humorous things that the neo-cons of Thurston County say and do. They will be covered, as they have been covered. Hypocrisy will be exposed.
The rest of it is up to the community. I'm in charge of managing and some writing, but what makes a good blogging community is participation.

My piece of turf
Yep....I got just a little rowdy this afternoon on The Olympian LTE forum. I get damned tired of the lies and so I shoved it right down Cheeseburger's throat.
Thanks to TGA for becoming the voice of reason, but I think everyone caught my response to Tammy McGee that I'll not stand by and have my professional character defamed for sport by SondraMarkWoodK.
I've already had a very serious conversation with Lui Long at The Olympian, and my next contact will be the Publisher, because I'm done playing games. I will sue and either The Olympian will provide the poster information voluntarily or it will be part of a court order. "Pay me now, or pay me later" is the old saying......
