I think the ideal solution would be to continue to let him post but require the disclaimer "I am a hateful, racist old man." as well as a real picture of himself accompany everything he writes.
I'm not thrilled about that picture being posted on ThurstonBlog, but I think it's a necessary evil so that people can understand what a despicable thing that was done.
I will say that a dear former friend of mine, Perry Watkins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perry_Watkins would have said that the image was a "part of Americana". Perry collected Aunt Jemima images and lawn jockeys until is death from AIDS.
