Meanwhile, fear not the Darwinian assertion that we descended from the apes. The opposite is true. As the Jesuit paleontologist Teilhard de Chardin once told us, we didn’t descend from the apes. We ascended from them.

And maybe one day an even gentler species will ascend from our angry level of operation.
