I do have a problem with BP turning over 20 billion to be administered by the government. I see a new plane in Nancy's future, more golf/campaign trips for BO etc etc.
BO has politized a disaster to push his agenda. Its the American people who will pay the bill threw increased taxes, increased fuel costs, increased cost for food etc etc.
BP guy was an idiot for going the a boat thing but BO was out playing golf. How much do you think the security cost. Of course the Brits have a differnt attitude toward power. Seems BO displays that same attitude.
ssuron, from my understanding our President negotiated and secured 20 Billion dollars, to be placed into a private escrow account. Neither him nor the Speaker of the House will be in control of those dollars.
And why is it that you have such a problem with one of the most powerful people in our govt. being supplied govt. air transport? It seems to me that it would be a security risk for us to do otherwise.(Ssuron, this is a legitimate question, since you know we are straight with each other, even though on most things we differ)

Thanks 98507. I get really tired of this constant trashing of our admin. Of course SondraK aka AynieRand had to jump in with her two cents worth, as if I give a Rats Ass about her twisted views on our Presidents "extortion" of 20 Billion from poor, poor, always following the rules BP.

She's too busy thinking of what she wants to say next to pay much attention to what anyone else has to say. Makes me think of the Eagles' song... "Don't let the sound of yer own wheels make ya crazy."
ssuron, on the other hand, claims to be a retired teacher, and he may be quite elderly from the way he posts. So, him I can cut a teeny bit of slack, just for his age-related cognitive decline which has likely impaired his reasoning abilities. However, his writing skills are deplorable for anyone who claims to have a college degree, let alone a teaching certificate.
I'm with winer on ssuron. He is obviously, and by his own admission, old. He reminds me of my late fathers best friend, a John Burch Republican, and my father was a VERY left of center liberal. My father, his friend Sumner, (spurred by their really good friend Jack Daniels), would have many a heated row of things. As a young girl, I sat mystified in my intrigue. How these two men stayed friends for a lifetime still amazes me.
Boy did they teach me a thing or two, at an early age, about debate! And what friendship can transend.

The dead giveway was when he went on and on about Bob Mowad (he didn't have the correct name) and the Pacific Institute. Lou Tice was the Pacific Institute and Mowad was the Edge Learning Institute - two entirely different organizations.
You could very well be right, Larry. Online it's hard to tell the difference between a doddering old man and a stumbling drunk.
