Well, you get what you pay for, so it has been appropriate for the Olympian online to be free.
This evening's KIRO news mentioned that the teenager burned in the Thursday fire in Lacey died on Friday. The good ol' Zero sure didn't print an update, although family members posted comments on the original article stating that he died.
If the Zero is going to use readers' comments as their updates, shouldn't they be paying those commenters?
As a former newspaper employee, I'm embarrassed at the ridiculous excuses that newspapers have become.
The Olympian's publisher has been in the business since the days when I was and somehow justifies this garbage as quality media.
I guess you do what you must when a paycheck is involved.
