Fascist Sheep

Freedom of speech physically repulses fascists. To whit, a short exchange over the sleep-over at the Capitol Wednesday.

Or the little wooden dowels. Shoot them into the ground and they bounce up into your shins. Very effective.

Advocating violence against political speech is a symptom of fascism.

Then the lump of stupid known as Menzies (isn’t that a mis-spelling of Auntie Flo?) chimes in.

Refusing a lawful order to leave because you are trespassing is against the law.

Like breaking the law is worse than the usurpation of the legal process.

The rest of the thread was the usual undifferentiated fascist squeal of the Olympian’s ten resident Teabaggers.

When will the Olympian figure out it needs to publish a product in tune with the community is expects to support it? About a year after it declares bankruptcy.

Yup. Frankly I'm expecting the Olympian's bankruptcy to come sooner rather than later. I won't even read the damn thing online anymore, to keep them from getting hits from me to drive their visit totals up for advertisers. If they want to pander to the few Teabaggers in the area, so be it, let's see if that keeps them in business. And to think I used to be a subscriber.

Merger, I'm telling you, MERGER.

When you have a story in the News Tribune that links to The Olympian, there is a sign of the times.

When you have a publisher that drives through Olympia while heading for one of four papers that he manages and has to report to Tacoma also, it's a sign of the times.

When they're both owned by the same corporate entity anyway I don't really consider it a merger. More of McClatchy deciding there's only room for one paper in the area and staying with the one that's actually viable. Since the Olympian is not actually serving the population here, doesn't bother me to see it disappear and be replaced by the TNT South Sound edition.

Hopefully when it happens, there won't be any places for the Olympian staff. No malice here, just a desire to see them not screw up another local paper.

Actually, there are some Tribune staffers who aren't much, if any, better. Check the sportswriters, Larue and McGrath in particular, who don't know how to spell or use correct grammar.
