Gee, McConnell, did you ever stop to think that your first act being approval of the Keystone XL pipeline would be proof positive that you've been bought and paid for?

COMMENTS:
*  Mitch McConnell has sold Kentuckians and most Americans to the highest bidders.
*  This surprises no one. Mitch has always been for sale to the highest bidder.

Letter | McConnell and the Keystone Pipeline
By Philip Kohl, January 5, 2015

According to a New York Times tally, in the most recent elections the billionaire Koch brothers laid out through various groups $77 million to the Republicans. Shortly after the election the new Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, stated that one of the Senate's first acts would be the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, which would transport "tar sands" oil from Alberta, Canada, to terminals on the Texas Gulf coast.

Guess who leases more than a million acres in the Alberta tar sands region? Yes, the Koch brothers. Looks like the $77 million was spent for good government ... and they are going to get it.
