It's a Bad Day to Be Mitch McConnell
His "brilliant" Supreme Court strategy is looking dumber than ever.

The way I figure it, some dark night very soon, an elite team drawn from the various vote-suppressing bastards in various state houses and state legislatures will slip into Washington and make off with Mitch McConnell, and he never will be seen or heard from again.
McConnell's brilliant strategy of stalling the nomination of the best Supreme Court nominee he's likely to get from any Democratic president once again has foiled their best attempts to keep people who don't vote for them from voting for anyone at all.
This time, it was Michigan's turn. And while it wasn't the now-customary 4-4 split, thereby upholding a lower court decision, the effect was very much the same. The balance of the Court has shifted measurably on this and on several other issues, simply because Antonin Scalia is now enjoying a cigar and a porterhouse in Autocrat Heaven.
Per The Washington Post:
The justices declined to get involved in a political controversy that began when the state's Republican leadership passed a bill to end 125 years of straight-ticket voting, which allows a voter to vote for all candidates of a desired party by taking a single action. The Supreme Court gave no reason for its decision for turning down Michigan's request that it be allowed to enforce the ban. But it was another sign that it will be difficult for those bringing election controversies to the court in advance of November to prevail.Day of Jubilee, indeed.
