So bad it's not even wrong V3.0

I could not let this chunk of drivel slink away.

I believe it's time for America to alter its method of electing lawmakers. It should be quite obvious to the public that we have way too many so-called leaders on the public payroll. We are receiving far less equal representation.

I suggest each state be divided into four equal quarters and one congressional representative elected from each quarter. This would cut our present congressional membership to less than half.

On the Senate side, each state should be divided in half, either north and south or east and west, which every suits the best representation of the state, with one senator elected from each half the state.

This idea will never get off the ground, but by electing our lawmakers under this method, we would receive a much more equal and honest representation from all states and we would save millions of tax dollars.

At present, the federal government gives each lawmaker $1 million per year to operate an office, plus their wages, which are way too high considering the quality of representation we are receiving.

With today’s technology in communication, our lawmakers in most cases have instant contact with their constituents — much different from when our Constitution was written and designed establishing the need for our current congressional representatives based on population and relying on the Pony Express for communication.

The idea would, with a little tweaking, work well for electing our state representatives also. Let’s add term limits to this idea, also.
