"When the Koch brothers lay a million down on a Republican horse, the Republican promises to lower his taxes and decrease regulations on his money-making abilities."

Stop Saying You Want Money Out of Government! You lie!
By Lucinda, September 20, 2014

Well, I mean, you need to get your mouth and your poll answers in line with your subconscious.

Our United States Senate rejected a constitutional amendment this week. That amendment was for the purpose of limiting money in government. Great idea, right?

Wrong. Or at least our leaders in government don’t think so.

Majority Leader Harry Reid and his Democrats voted in favor of the constitutional amendment. Minority Leader McConnell and the Senate Republicans voted against it. They say it would infringe on free speech… that is, the right of a dollar to have a say in our government. Money has rights, too. Sure.

But what is interesting is that polls say voters DO want to get money out of government. I’d like to believe it’s true.

The amendment wasn’t likely to pass, anyway. It needed 67 votes in the Senate, then a 2/3rds majority in the House. Then, as a constitutional amendment it would have to be ratified by 3/4ths of the STATE legislatures in the country. It wasn’t going anywhere, anyway. Yeah, I know… it’s the will of the people.  Wrong. That’s just what people say in polls. It’s not what they really mean.

Republicans have proven, even in the small print of the polls, that they couldn’t care less if there is big money buying our government. I think that makes sense. I’m not even surprised.  Every time anybody comments about how the Koch brothers bought Kansas from us, Kansas conservatives yell for us to leave the Koch brothers alone. So I’m not surprised.

But some people might be surprised because that’s one of the things the Tea Party keeps yelling about… money in government. Note, however, that when Dylan Rhatigan [sic] started his efforts to Get Money Out, the Republicans called him everything but an American.

NPR says, “Glance at any poll asking Americans to rank their top issues. This week, both the Washington Post/ABC and the CNN/ORC surveys put the economy or jobs at the top of voters' worries, with about one-third of respondents calling it the most important issue. Health care, terrorism, the dysfunction in Washington, the situation in Syria, immigration and even education crack double digits.

Where does campaign finance or money in politics rank? That would be nowhere — perhaps buried in the catch-all of "something else."” (1)

Could it be that our friends on the right are for any rich man who’ll buy the R a win in an election? Why else would they rank owning our government so low on the list of things they care about?

I hear a still small voice growing louder and louder…. and the word it’s saying is… Soros!

Yes, there are wealthy Democrats who donate to the Democratic candidates.

But remember this:

When the Koch brothers lay a million down on a Republican horse, the Republican promises to lower his taxes and decrease regulations on his money-making abilities.

When Soros lays a million down on a Democratic horse, the Democrat promises to raise Soros’ taxes and increase regulations on his money-making abilities.

Which one owns his candidate?

Next time Charles Koch buys a candidate for you, Republicans, remember what he is saying. He is saying I’ll buy you a candidate who is anti-women and their Democratic rights if you’ll let me pay little to no taxes and allow me to pollute the air your children breathe and the environment they live in.

Let me guess. You’re making excuses this very minute, right?

Make it easy on yourself. Here's one for you...

It’s Obama’s fault.
