Even Washington State Republicans are aghast at Susan Hutchison's attitude!

Bizarre statement from Wash. State Republican party head regarding Trump's vulgar comments about women
Chronicle opinion, October 8, 2016

It's not a secret these days that the American public has a low opinion of the news media in general.

A survey done earlier this year of 2,000 adults by the American Press Institute and released in April showed that Americans' trust in the media had dropped to dramatically low levels.

Forty-one percent said they have" hardly any confidence" in the news media and about 52 percent said they had "some confidence" in the press.

If you want the world to think you're doing something worthwhile with your life and important to society, don't become a reporter. Don't go into the news business. Go to school to become a dentist, cancer researcher, dog walker or honest whore. You'll get more respect.

That survey means it is likely that many people who read this story won't believe a word of it.

And why should they when a former TV news reader - a so called "news anchor" in Seattle - a woman who's stock and trade should have been hard facts, gives one of the most bizarre, out of the ozone, least factual answers to the reasons behind Donald Trump's vulgar comments about women and expects people to actually believe what she said is the truth and fact of the matter?

Susan Hutchinson, now the Big Kahoona of the Republican Party in Washington state, used to be a news-reader on KIRO-TV in Seattle.

Here is what the same station reports that Hutchinson told them was the reason behind Donald Trump's deplorable, inexcusable, filthy and degrading comments he made about women 11 years ago and released just yesterday by the Washington Post in a videotape that shot across the world like a bullet.

Hutchinson essentially excuses Trump for saying those horrible things, "because he was a Democrat."

This is not a joke. This is what this former experienced "news anchor" said, according to the TV station where every evening she sat behind a desk under hot TV lights and purportedly told people factual things that went on in the world.

From KIRO-TV's report:
"Donald Trump made these remarks 11 years ago, he was a Democrat at the time," she told KIRO-7. "We like to believe he's a Republican now and everybody's redeemable. Certainly nobody can justify what he said, but I also think we need perspective."

Hutchinson repeatedly pointed out a reactionary tweet issued by Hillary Clinton saying "this is horrific We cannot allow this man to become president."

"I thought wait a second," said Hutchison, "Your husband is the one who defined this, in the White House."
Is this woman certifiable? Is she also having visions of Saint Augustine riding a Harley in her living room?

Now keep in mind: it used to be that Republicans were the ones that believed in facts and science and real stuff and it was those wacky liberals who were off in La-La land.

Well, goodbye to all that quaint thinking.

Better to just dream this stuff up yourself. Shut off your TV's, don't go to any news websites, stop reading the news altogether.

You'll be a lot better off.

State Republicans condemn Trump tape remarks; Hutchison deflects
By Bob Young and Jim Brunner, October 8, 2016

Prominent Republicans in Washington state mostly condemned GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s crude remarks about women, but stopped short of calling for him to quit the ticket.

“Unfortunately, with these comments Donald Trump has lost my vote, ” said U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Auburn, who had previously said he wouldn’t endorse Trump.

State GOP Chairman Susan Hutchison drew national attention by claiming on Twitter that Trump “was a Democrat” when he made the 2005 remarks caught on video, and had been “channeling” Bill Clinton.

Trump was registered to vote in New York as a Democrat in 2001. He switched the affiliation to Republican in 2009, according to voter records detailed by the fact-checking organization PolitiFact. However, in a Fox News interview in 2005, Trump said he voted for Republican George W. Bush in the presidential race the previous year.

“Certainly no one can justify what he said,” Hutchison said in an interview with KIRO TV. “But I also think we need perspective.”

Some Republicans and conservatives were aghast at Hutchison’s spin, saying Trump’s past political affiliations were not the point.

Todd Herman, a conservative talk show host on AM 770 KTTH, tweeted that Hutchison “has put @WAGOP on the record. It’s okay to grab a woman by her privates if you later pretend to be a Republican.”

He added: “Resign, now.”
