From the thread in a Leonard Pitts Op Ed. Mr. Pitts brings out the drooling racists every time and when we on the Left call them out, Tammy steps in.

If the shoe fits, wear it: "... in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt." -- Bertrand Russell
"There's no firewall for stupidity." -- Mike Hamilton
"I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said." -- William F. Buckley, Jr.

Well, Tammy must have at least some time to devote to the comments. She deleted this one twice:
"When you think about it, calling Leonard Pitts a racist is just about the only strategy that the Right can come up with that works for them. The charge is so obviously ridiculous that it is immediately met with scorn and derision by almost everyone else. In that way, the Right succeeds in avoiding any substantive discussion on the issues."
And I didn't use Larry's name once!
Yet she allows the shit from She-Who and her ilk to remain....
Considering which comments she deletes vs the ones she allows to remain is proof that reasoned comments from moderates/the left/progressives are not welcome in the Zero, but rabid/nasty comments from the likes of She-Who, dalecon, glenn, et al. are left in place.
People....don't you get it?
If you comment on ThurstonBlog you are treated differently by The Olympian staff....but...according to their "policy" they do not moderate, unless following up on a complaint because that would mean they are liable for moderation - i.e. defamation of character.
What you are seeing is moderation where moderation doesn't happen. This is the equivilant to Wisconsin where the issue is state budget, until they want to ramrod anti-union legislation, then there is no budget issue so they can use the nuclear option.
What you are seeing in both cases is the total lack of ethics in politics and journalism in today's life.
I think it's a bit off to place all the blame on Tammy McGee for the piss poor moderation.
The piss poor moderation is a conscious decision of her employer. They could give her clearer direction and the time to be even handed but I suspect her moderation duties a just a part of her work at the Daily Zip.
