Another example of "Obama Derangement Syndrome", as practiced by Boehner and Congressional Republicans.

COMMENTS:
*  Since the last shutdown proved a failure of leadership by the Republican Party ,,,it makes perfect sense to do the same thing again ,,,Ths is what happens when your party decides that Insanity is their Moto
*  Did you know that the Sander's bill to fully fund the VA healthcare system (and end the backlogs) would have cost only $24 billion? Ted Cruz cost us more than it would cost to provide healthcare to all deserving veterans.
*  Boehner does not want to negotiate -- he wants to do what Republicans did a couple of years ago that hurt American workers. The will shut down the government right around the Holidays, when most people need their jobs and money. They are a hateful bunch.
*  How do they get away with such few work days? They are on vacation for the entire month of August. They don't even work 5 days a week. Why do us citizens that pay their salaries let them get away with this?
*  Once again they are proving how little they care about our country. To them it is more important to show their base how much they hate the democrats. It is really disheartening to see what they are doing to our country.
*   GOP doing the same BS they have been doing for years now. In 2016 we need to send as many of these boneheads as we can out the door. Get out and Vote in 2016. Do not ever miss out a Midterm Election again you fools.

Boehner Ducks Offer To Negotiate A Way Around A Shutdown

The plan is to keep passing GOP bills that ignore the Democrats' concerns.

By Michael McAuliff, July 16, 2015

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) declined Thursday to address Democratic offers to negotiate a budget that avoids the threat of a government shutdown in the fall.

President Barack Obama has threatened to veto the 12 annual spending bills that Congress is still working on because they boost military spending while leaving in place the steep cuts of 2011's sequestration deal for domestic programs.

Senate Democrats have insisted they will block those bills until Republicans start negotiating with them to even out the cuts and spending, and include some of the president's and Democrats' priorities.

Their argument has been that it's better to hold talks now, before funding expires at the end of September, than to risk a government shutdown.

Asked at his weekly news conference if there was a downside to starting talks now, Boehner declined to answer directly, but insisted he would keep following the GOP's plan of passing bills that ignore Democrats' concerns about the GOP budget.

"The House and Senate have passed a budget. We're moving appropriations bills in the House according to that budget, and that continues to be the plan,"  Boehner said.

The House goes on vacation until after Labor Day at the end of the month. If no deal is in place, it will leave just three weeks to craft a budget compromise before funding for the government expires on Sept. 30.
