* Trump is NOT speaking to the middle class. He is speaking to a population of people in this country who aren't very well educated and typically work at low-to-middle income jobs. These are people that love a quippy policy sound bite, but don't really care about the cost or logistics of making any of those ideas a reality. A wall along Mexico? Forcing Iran to suspend its nuclear program? Deporting all illegal immigrants? Not allowing any Muslims to enter the country? While they all sound like great ideas to his supporters, Trump has offered zero substance or strategy on how he would actually achieve any of these things.
* Trump's no idiot. He's saying and doing all the right things to appeal to the far-right conservatives. Everything out of his mouth is just a more extreme version of what Republicans have been saying for years. Too bad for Trump and Republicans though... their message of hate doesn't really have much appeal outside of the far-right wing of their party.
* You can look at gerrymandering districts as a big reason for the house. more folks actually voted Democrat but the district slice up gave the house to the GOP. Democracy at it's finest.

Donald Trump warns that Bernie Sanders will take golf away if elected

New year, same Donald Trump. The Republican candidate spoke to a group of supporters at Hilton Head this week and warned that Bernie Sanders would effectively remove golf from their lives because of tax hikes.
"You'll have to move out — I love this area by the way, I've been here many times," said Trump. "Great golfing area, right? We love it. No more golf — no more golf. You won't have any golf any more. You won't have any money left to be golfing.”
