"The numbers serve more evidence of a Republican Party that's being torn apart by a vicious primary race."

COMMENTS:
*  WATCHING THE GOP destroy itself... Priceless
*  Get big money out of our election process. Shorten the election season. Limit the amount campaigns can spend. No, corporations are not people. Our entire political system needs an overhaul.
*  Yes, the GOP brought this on itself. They've been trying to get president Obama out of office since he first got into office. Their position has gone far right since the president took office. They have elected far right congressmen in the house and Senate in order to obstruct the president, while getting out all of the so called "establishment"republicans or RINO'S. this has cause the division in the republican party.
*  I say cut by 10% the salaries of all senators and congressmen who haven,t done anything other than blocking things from happening. Start with this Cruz character first.
   *  Only 10%? They work about 6 months out of the year, get GREAT government supplied health care, obstruct anything Obama suggests. I would have been fired long ago if that were my work ethic.
   *  The majority are multi-millionaires who can leave tomorrow (and I wish they would) and get a Lobbying job for a couple million a year". You think a $20K or less pay cut will change their mind set?
*  You know things are bad in the GOP when even Fox News can't be patient with their politicians anymore!
*  The republicans did this to themselves, I am not saying democrats are always right but, we don't tell people to vote against their interest just so some rich guy does not have to pay hisfair share in taxes, I want the EPA, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, UNIONS AND FAIR WAGES!

This poll number is a troubling sign for the Republican Party
By Pamela Engel, April 19, 2016

Early exit polls from the New York primary found that Republican voters think the primary season has divided their party, while Democratic voters think the race has energized theirs.

NBC exit polls showed that 57% of Republican voters surveyed said the primary campaign had divided their party, and only 39% said the primary campaign has been energizing.

By contrast, 68% of Democratic voters said the race has energized their party, while only 27% said the campaign has divided Democrats.

The numbers serve more evidence of a Republican Party that's being torn apart by a vicious primary race.

The two leading candidates for the Republican nomination — billionaire real estate developer Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz — are largely unpopular with the party's establishment. Candidates who are well-liked by the Republican establishment, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, dropped out earlier in the race.

Some Republican elites have mounted furious efforts to stop Trump from winning the nomination, but his bombastic style has wooed voters who are unhappy with the status quo.
