#TruthlessTrump, previous candidates did it; why do you think you're exempt?

COMMENTS:
*  Breaking with 20 years of tradition, Trump won't let us see his tax returns. I don't need Romney to tell me, to think that that is because its a nuclear bomb.
*  "The more the media and establishment, Dem and GOP, attack Trump, the more popular he gets." That's not really true, he remains popular with those already invested but he's hardly making new recruits. He's a stale brand to the majority of Americans who know his schtick. What's new to discover? Nothing.
*  release your tax returns Trump.  What are you so afraid of ??
*  What is he hiding?? What is he afraid of? Why is he lying about the audit? Why is it so important that he not reveal his taxes?? And trumpt supporters don't change the subject to Hillary. I know that is what you are supposed to do, distract, deflect, dodge, change the subject, wag the dog..but I am only asking about the trumps tax returns..
*  I honestly couldn't care about his tax returns. How many voters can honestly say they look at and take into consideration a candidates tax returns? I certainly don't. Personally, I am more concerened with his bigotry, mysogyny and his bottom feeding supporters.
*  The GOP has been duping their supporters for decades, the disease is now imbedded into their DNA. There's a long list of neglected promises by the right wing, and they just keep getting recycled for consumption by their serfs.

Mitt Romney Sees Only One Possible Explanation For Why Trump Won’t Release His Tax Returns

The 2012 GOP presidential nominee says Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns is “disqualifying.”

No stranger to questions about his taxes and wealth, former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday criticized Donald Trump’s decision to withhold his tax returns from the public, calling the move “disqualifying” and speculating that Trump is hiding “a bombshell.”

Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he does not plan to release his tax returns — as is tradition for candidates for elected office — because he is being audited.

Romney responded on Facebook, arguing that making tax returns public provides valuable information to voters. He accused Trump of using the audit as an excuse to avoid further scrutiny and suggested that he may be concealing something that could negatively impact his candidacy, an attack Romney first made earlier this year.

“There is only one logical explanation for Mr. Trump’s refusal to release his returns: there is a bombshell in them,” Romney wrote on Wednesday. “Given Mr. Trump’s equanimity with other flaws in his history, we can only assume it’s a bombshell of unusual size.”

It is disqualifying for a modern-day presidential nominee to refuse to release tax returns to the voters, especially one who has not been subject to public scrutiny in either military or public service. Tax returns provide the public with its sole confirmation of the veracity of a candidate's representations regarding charities, priorities, wealth, tax conformance, and conflicts of interest. Further, while not a likely circumstance, the potential for hidden inappropriate ass...  See More
When he ran for president in 2012, Romney initially hesitated to release his tax returns because of the scrutiny they would bring to his business experience and wealth, but by January of that year, he relented.

Tax experts have called into question Trump’s use of the audit as a reason not to release his tax returns. Trump has claimed that the Internal Revenue Service is examining “four or five years” of his taxes, but the agency typically focuses on three years of taxes.
