* Funny ain`t it,the Tea Party was created to destroy President Obama and all it`s doing is destroying the Republican Party! Keep up the good work all you Teanutters,i love watching the GOP implode!
* The Biden rule is a fabrication of right wing media. Democrats have never delayed the process of filling a Supreme Court vacancy. That is a territory that is solely Republican.
* Obama has done exactly the same as other presidents did before him but less often. If he was truly acting beyond his Constitutional powers, the Republican Congress would have impeached him a long time ago, but never had the legal grounds to do it.
* Trumps plan after his hostile takeover of the Repuke Party is to call up Reince and sell the Paerty back to them for 500 million dollars, afterall he said its all about making the deal
* The president did his job as described in the Constitution concerning Supreme Court justices. The GOP in the Senate is refusing to do theirs.
* McConnell is a complete idiot, the worst kind of leader this country could possibly have. Since he chooses not to do his job, why doesn't he just go home and sell coal or something!! It is not just the supreme court nomination that he is ignoring, there are many, many judges waiting for confirmation, all of whom are very well qualified!! And he gets paid our hard earned money!!

McConnell's obstructionism sets dangerous precedent
By Frank M. Garrison, Jr., May 7, 2016
Mitch McConnell is playing with fire. While fully entitled to vote "no" on Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court, his refusal to engage in a constitutionally prescribed process displays contempt for our constitutional democracy. The defense that the Constitution sets forth no time frame nor standards to “advise and consent” is a smokescreen at best.
Did the Constitution’s drafters envision a Senate unwilling to even participate in the process? What if non-engagement becomes standard when one party controls the executive branch and another the Senate? Does McConnell really think that never engaging on a nomination in such instances will further the interests of our democracy?
Why has McConnell chosen to obstruct any process when a simple majority "no" vote would block confirmation? He clearly has decided that politically it is better to engage in public defiance than just voting "no" on Garland's nomination.
McConnell’s attempt at justification is thinly disguised. He disingenuously asserts that he wants to let the people have a say in the nomination. The people already have already had the say as contemplated by the Constitution by electing a president and senators. The Constitution does not provide that a sitting president only serves three years of a four-year term. Nor does it suggest in the slightest that the Senate's role in the "advice and consent" process ends after three years of that term. I am not questioning McConnell’s right to oppose Judge Garland as vehemently as he wants to as long as he engages as contemplated by the Constitution. I am, on the other hand, strongly criticizing the feckless elevation of partisan politics above the interests of our constitutional democracy in a way that could have long-term disastrous consequences.
Among the greatest strengths in our country is that we have a rule of law. Granted, we have disagreements with its formulation and enforcement on occasion. We may not always like laws passed or judicial decisions made, but America has historically respected the rule of law and sought change peacefully through the courts and legislation. This respect has helped created a stable society that is the envy of people from all over the world.
McConnell is conveying from the very powerful position as senate majority leader that he is free to pick and choose what in the Constitution he will recognize. That message is irresponsible and very dangerous. What he is doing, intentionally or not, even provides encouragement to those who want to act above and beyond the law. His message is reckless and could have an almost irreparable harmful long-term impact. His actions and words provide solace to people looking for any support for resistance to law and government authority, and they threaten the rule of law and our democracy. McConnell’s actions are not just a political ploy but an assault on every American who believes in our constitutional democracy.
It is obvious that there is a lot of frustration, fear and anger in our country today. Much, in fact, is understandable. Let’s not foment it with irresponsible actions and words. Just how big of a leap is it from here to even outright treason? Do any of us want to find out? His actions are not leadership, at least not the kind all Americans who believe in a constitutional democracy, Independents, Republicans and Democrats alike, deserve.
