Do Dinner at "Martin Way Diner"

Once reading of the mysterious story of the missing mother and child, accompanied by sidrat38's worries, I also glanced at mac_wade's repulsive comments, as well as his (or Her) declaration to never eat at the said diner again. Well for one lost (in more ways than 1) customer, I believe you will get A LOT of new customers, if for no other reason then to spite mac_wade!
You've gained 3 new customers with my little family eating there soon. I'm looking forward to a yummy meal!

I haven't been there since it was the Rib Eye but I will check it out now that I know the socks won't be there. It's nice to know they are still looking at the blog.

Timer permitting I'm going to try to stop by for breakfast mid-morning tomorrow. Yelp has nice things to say.

You folks are the BEST!

I can't tell you how much guilt and remorse I'm going through right now, but knowing there are such caring, wonderful people out there such as yourselves makes me have a reason to keep on keepin' on..

I actually called the crisis clinic tonight to try and get out some of the remorse I've been dealing with since this all happened..

I think seeing some of my Thurston Blogger family would make me feel better..

Please stop by..

BTW..I won't post my real identity here, but Larry, you have my permission to release my name to our valued contributors..

I'll make sure I hook you guys and gals up with my very best...

sidrat, there is nothing that you should feel guilty about! If anything, the fact that you are so concerned means you are a higher class person than many of people in this community.... all you have to do to get proof of that is to read the idiotic statements of many of the commenters on the Olympian. So there too!

BTW, do you always work the evening shift?

Had a hearty and tasty breakfast at the Martin Way Diner today.

sidrat38, I agree with anonymous 98507, you have nothing to feel guilty about. Not intending to trivialize your feelings, just to acknowledge that you've put forth the effort to help and there's no way you could have known something was going to happen. Best Wishes.

I'll be dining there soon as well.

This story has gotten under my skin, I'm hoping she walked out of her life voluntarily, so many things just don't add up, and the amateur gumshoe in me does not trust that everything being said is true.

Sidrat38, you've done a wonderful job getting the word out there, the stories odd, I feel for your grief in this.

One of my favorite writers on the News Tribune staff is Kathleen "Kits" Merryman, and for quite some time the paper has been posting notices that she was taking time off. I was concerned about her, of course, along with other people, too, I assume. Today there is an article written by her that explains why she has been absent: When collapsing under the weight of adversity, take time to rebuild yourself Her words might be of help to all of us, especially sidrat38.

Thanks for all the caring advice. It really does help. You people have been my rock in a very troubling situation. I love you all!

You know, you see stories like this all the time, but when you actually have a connection to a case, even be it in a very small way, it eats at you. I've been pretty much a wreck since this all happened.

xyzzy, thanks for stopping by. I hope my day shift guys took good care of you.

And yes, Anon..I'm the closer there. I work nights Thursday through Monday.

Anon, once again, I owe you a HUGE debt of gratitude.

After reading the article by Ms. Merryman, I sent her off an e-mail..she ended up e-mailing me back, and then calling me to chat. What a nice lady!

She gave me some wonderful advice, then sent me another email pretty much demanding that I call her back tomorrow to check in with her, and make sure I followed her advice..

..I think I may have just gained another Mom...
:)

Thanks, Anon...

You're so welcome, sidrat38! It makes MY day when something I share with someone or provide as a result of doing some research helps someone in some manner.

Also, I'm glad to know of your experience with Kits because it validates my opinion of her.
