Docent Has Gone Over The Edge

Groupthink
Washington is a purple state. Yet in recent years the electorate has tended to support Democrats. Why is that, dalecon?

I'd suggest this is so because the Republicans have moved too far to the right. They have become so knee-jerk anti-government that they have alienated mainstream voters who are neither liberal nor conservative.

The average Joe wants to keep taxes down but also wants to maintain quality schools, competent public services and a clean environment. He doesn't want to see government's capacity gutted.

You will start electing more Republicans in this state when you start listening to average Joe instead of your fellow radical right wingers.

Docent
Because of entitlements, because of King County, because stupid people live in this State!
PS The average Joe could care less about the left wing agenda because he is too busy working his a** off to support his family.

Groupthink
You don't believe in majority rules? Would you prefer a right-wing dictatorship?

Docent
No,stupid people should not be allowed to vote! A benevolent despot. I volunteer!

Weren't there some Republicans who wanted to implement intelligence tests as a voting requirement before the last election? I'll bet they changed their minds after reading some of the posts at the Olympian.

Not allowing stupid people to vote couldn't possibly work out well for Republicans. It would eliminate the majority of their constituency.
