Rangel on Weiner and vice-versa

................................
Rangel: Weiner can still be effective

[snipped]

U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel said Friday that he believes Weiner can still be an effective lawmaker, "if the press gets off his back."

He suggested that other members of Congress had done worse things than Weiner, who admitted this week to sending racy messages and explicit photographs of himself to women he didn't know.

"I don't know what he did, who he offended. I know one thing: He wasn't going with prostitutes. He wasn't going out with little boys. He wasn't going into the men's room with broad stances," said Rangel.

"Certainly I know immoral sex when I hear it from other members, and no one has screamed for their resignation, so I don't know why they're selecting Anthony. That is a surprise," Rangel said.

He acknowledged, though, that Weiner is likely to face continued difficulties if reporters keep asking Democrats questions about his conduct.

................................
Weiner voted against censuring Rangel

When Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-N.Y.) colleague, Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), faced ethics charges in the House in 2010, Weiner voted against censure. Now Weiner will face ethics charges of his own.

[snipped]

In Late 2010 the House voted 333-79 to censure Rangel. But Rangel's New York colleagues voted against the measure, with 16 nays and 13 ayes. Weiner was one of the nays. House Republicans voted, predictably, to censure Rangel, with only two of the 165 members voting against it.

It seems that our very own stalker is lying about us on the Trib:

Kardnos said on another thread regarding this topic:

"The biggest lie there is that Weiner sent a photo to someone that hadn't given him permission to communicate with her."

Now on Kardnos' very own blog this is written: "He suggested that other members of Congress had done worse things than Weiner, who admitted this week to sending racy messages and explicit photographs of himself to women he DIDN'T KNOW."

Now, do people often give total strangers permission to send explicit photos to them? I think we all know the answer to that. Secondly if he didn't know them then how can we be sure they weren't underage (because nobody lies about their age on the internet right!).

LOL, better take that comment down Kardnos and hide all the evidence, LOL!

Now, to clarify the misrepresentation of "my blog".....

First, I didn't blog the article. Another member did. Secondly, the author was quoting Charlie Rangel. The article came from "The Hill" Anyone wanting to see the original quote should google it.

Lastly, Saduj constantly misrepresents quotes and material from other media, why should this be any exception. By not attributing the quote to Charlie Rangel, this quote.....

"He suggested that other members of Congress had done worse things than Weiner, who admitted this week to sending racy messages and explicit photographs of himself to women he didn't know."

.....appears to be mine.

Nice work, saduj. You've lied again.
