That is what High School sports should be about, at times.

As most of you know, my nephew is Down afflicted. He also was a Special Olympics Gold medalist in two weighlifting competitions and a bronze medal in another at the International Special Olympics in 1991.

His accomplishments required nothing other than training and desire, just like any other athlete.

I'm sure that this young man, although trying to compete with undisabled athletes, is an inspiration to his team by just showing up and giving his all.
