Todd's representatives have denied any and all allegations made against him. Although stories of cheating husbands and wives abound in politics, most infidelity allegations are dismissed without some form of concrete or tangible proof surfacing to support the allegations, which are often unfounded rumors. Cheating spouse stories that appear in tabloids are usually viewed with a skeptical eye as well. However, the National Enquirer has gained a bit of a reputation in the last few years for digging up credible sex scandals, breaking both the stories of the John Edwards-Rielle Hunter affair and the non-political Tiger Woods scandal, the former gaining the tabloid a Pulitzer Prize nod for investigative journalism.
