Ahh, but there are all kinds of "shapes" and some are not so appealing.
Besides, when you read an article in this paper, you have to take how Jeremy Pawloski writes the story.......he does not have a way with words, but a way with saying things that make the story very confusing to say the least.

We noticed the attempts.
Do you understand anything glenn? I mean some of the comments you make on here just make no sense at all. The cars may be reported stolen but that doesn't mean anything. The cops have to assume innocence until they complete the investigation. Until it is completed this is considered what we like to call evidence. Now stick with me because I know for someone like you it might be hard to understand. Evidence may not be worth anything if this alleged (notice I used the word alleged) chop shop was unaware that these vehicles were reported missing. For instance the defense in court might say they believed they bought the cars legally. If that is the case then they might be able to get off. So in order to ensure that the courts do not waste there time, it is the duty of our police officers to investigate that way the courts don't realize all the little details later. In our country one is innocent until proven guilty, and not the other way around. They have to prove that they either stole the vehicles, or purchased these vehicles knowing they were stolen, and then must prove that they were selling them off in parts. Just because they have the physical pieces doesnt mean anything. Just because they have parts doesnt mean anything until they have proof. For instance if you have a gun and someone gets shot, they can't just assume it was you and put you in jail. They have to come up with a case genius.
To answer the first sentence of your comment, the answer is "no." |

AssClown
radec says:
It's pretty sad when one gets banned from posting on a newspaper website (as FL did). Then he complained so much to the moderators that they got sick of him and refused to listen to his vacuous complaints. So he went north to irritate a whole new crowd of people. First_Lefty says:
Oh...and radec....In the past three months I've posted dozens of times on said newspaper thread. You just don't know who I am. Muaahahahahahahahaha
It's really difficult to stalk someone when you don't know who they are.....kinda frustrating, isn't it?
radec says:
Oh I know you're still there at the other paper, in fact I just posted about it to cedar the other day! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out! First_Lefty says:
Actually, I haven't posted there since October, but that just proves I've got you obsessed and guessing.hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahathump
(just LMAO)
radec says:
Oh so now you're a liar too. And by still there I meant still reading, which obviously you are. Read more: http://blog.thenewstribune.com/letters/2010/12/29/admit-it-you-were-lied-to/#ixzz19e99lv12
Sure you did, radec........LOL
It's really not fair of me to take advantage of such a slow intellect, but I just couldn't help myself.

Remember when she was just another unwed mother?
Bristol Palin, 20-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, has bought a home in Maricopa, an outlying Valley suburb in Pinal County.
Aside from the celebrity buyer, the political family and Dancing With the Stars, the purchase of the five-bedroom house represents a typical real-estate saga in Arizona.
Public records show the home was built in 2006 and bought for $329,560. It went into foreclosure in January of this year.
Read more: http://www.azcentral.com/ent/celeb/articles/2010/12/24/20101224bristol-palin-buys-home-in-arizona.html#ixzz19QRMrSDEWe need a country where more unwed teenaged mothers can become outright homeowners of a five bedroom house.
I wonder how the taxpayers took it on the chin helping the bank through these tough times.

Sotomayor, Kagan shift Supreme Court debates to the left
The liberal wing is no longer drowned out by Scalia and his fellow conservatives during oral arguments.
December 26, 2010|By David G. Savage, Washington Bureau
Reporting from Washington — For most of the last two decades, Supreme Court conservatives led by Justice Antonin Scalia dominated the debates during oral arguments. They greeted advocates for liberal causes with sharp and sometimes caustic questions, putting them on the defensive from the opening minute.
But the tenor of the debate has changed in recent months, now that President Obama's two appointees to the court, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, have joined the fray and reenergized the liberal wing.

Murkowski = fiercely independent
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Murkowski goes rogue
Lisa Murkowski isn’t gunning down caribou on national TV like that other famous Alaskan, but the Republican lawmaker is going rogue in the Senate just weeks after staging the most stunning back-from-the-dead political win of the 2010 cycle.
Murkowski is already showing a fierce independent streak, becoming the only Republican to cast votes on all four items on President Barack Obama’s wish list: a repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” a tax-cut compromise, the START deal and cloture for the DREAM Act.
[snipped]
Murkowski’s willingness to defy Republican top brass after a bitter fight to keep her seat may mark a pivotal point in her career as she emerges as a real maverick foil to Sarah Palin, the conservative idol who put Alaska politics on the national map. And while conservatives who helped oust Murkowski from the GOP ticket in Alaska may howl about her being a “Republican In Name Only,” Murkowski could enjoy a powerful perch as a much-sought-after moderate in an almost evenly divided Senate.
[snipped]
“There’s a new paradigm now, and with it comes a watershed political moment for her personally,” Moore wrote, noting that 60 percent of Murkowski voters in the last election supported repeal. “She has made her position quite clear — she supports repeal of DADT. ... Good for her, I reckon. I think she has conclusively detached herself from her former allegiance to the right and is charting a new course. DADT was her first real test, and I think she passed.”

Shortage of medicines kills some US patients
Shortages of some 150 crucial medicines have killed at least four hospital patients, according to reports from a patient safety group.

About 150 drugs are currently in shortage, according to the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, including sedatives, cancer drugs, and pain medications. The shortage has been going on since the spring.

McCain: a bitter ideologue and partisan hack?
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Yes Virginia, There was a Time When John McCain Was Admirable
By Joe Gandelman | December 21st, 2010
[snipped]
The John McCain of 2000 would never support or respect the 2010 talk radio radio political culture incarnation of John McCain. He would consider today’s McCain a bitter ideologue and partisan hack seemingly motivated out of a desire to “get even” with groups who were once part of his supporting coalition – a man with a sour grapes attitude bordering on contempt for the man who defeated him in his bid for President. Today’s McCain seems to be frantically trying to repudiate past positions that once seemed genuinely heartfelt. If McCain’s image had to go up today on Mount Rushmore they’d need two faces.
The question is: was 2000 all an act? It’s a question still being debated.
Virginia, tell your little friends that some people say John McCain was a political “maverick” but it is now clear that he has turned out to be political Edsel.
[snipped]
The 2000 McCain was a uniter because virtually all Americans respected his life’s narrative and courage and sincerity even if they disagreed with his politics. Today’s McCain is also a uniter: almost no one totally trusts him anymore.
So yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus.
But, no, Virginia: there is no more 2000 John McCain.
And perhaps, some of us now think, maybe there never really was.

Two Elves Go To A Brothel
Two elves go into a brothel and each get a prostitute in rooms next to each other. The first elf is having great difficulty getting his equipment to cooperate and to top it off he can hear the other elf next door saying "ya ready, here I cum. 1!...2!...3!...4!...and WHOOOHHAAA!!!."
The prostitute with the first elf tries consoling him with things like"don't you worry it happens to every guy at one time or another and you can come back here to see me whenever you like."
Again the second elf yells "ya ready, here I cum. 1!...2!...3!...4!...and WHOOOHHAAA!!!."
The first elf just wants to die as he sits for the next ten minutes listening to the second elf ever couple minutes yelling "ya ready, here I cum. 1!...2!...3!...4!...and WHOOOHHAAA!!!."
Finally they both emerge from the rooms and head home. While walking down the street the first elf says "that was horrible I couldn't get hard."
The second elf replies "you think you had it bad? I couldn't even make it onto the bed!"

Comments crumble with bad grammar, punctuation
BY JAMIE BUTOW, Californian Columnist

Learning how to communicate effectively is important, especially when you're commenting online.
Several times in the past few months, I've deleted comments that were read as insults or personal attacks on other Bakersfield.com bloggers.
In many instances, the reply I received from the offending blogger was, "That's not what I meant."
But it's what you said.
Misplaced punctuation, poorly constructed sentences and lack of context can easily lead to misunderstood comments.
Take the following sentence:
"Another stupid idea, Jane."
Reading this, it looks like the writer is calling Jane's idea stupid.
But what if, a dozen or so comments back, Jane linked to a site proposing an off-the-wall solution for the housing crisis?
Was Jane's idea stupid? Or was the commenter calling the idea put forth by the group in her link stupid?
Many blogs and articles get dozens upon dozens of comments. Unless you're clear on what and who you're referring to, the meaning of your comment can be easily misunderstood.
To be safe, always add the context of what you're talking about. Don't assume people will know, especially since previous comments could have been deleted or edited.
Here are a few examples of how a little comma can change the meaning of a sentence:
"What's the latest dope?" vs. "What's the latest, dope?"
"Giant moving, sale Friday." vs. "Giant moving sale Friday."
One little mark, two very different meanings.

Where's the "dignity" or even the logic in the Diocese's decision?
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
C'mon, what a dumb decision! The mother was going to die if they didn't do anything; if they allowed her to die, the fetus would automatically die, also. Treating the mother appropriately would have killed the fetus. They couldn't "deliver" the fetus because it wasn't going to be viable and would die; only if they aborted the fetus would half of the pair, the mother, live. Better one than none!

Arizona hospital loses Catholic status over surgery
PHOENIX — The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix stripped a major hospital of its affiliation with the church Tuesday because of a surgery that ended a woman's pregnancy to save her life.
Bishop Thomas Olmsted called the 2009 procedure an abortion and said St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center — recognized internationally for its neurology and neurosurgery practices — violated ethical and religious directives of the national Conference of Catholic Bishops.
"In the decision to abort, the equal dignity of mother and her baby were not both upheld," Olmsted said at a news conference announcing the decision. "The mother had a disease that needed to be treated. But instead of treating the disease, St. Joseph's medical staff and ethics committee decided that the healthy, 11-week-old baby should be directly killed."
Linda Hunt, president of St. Joseph's, said doctors performed a necessary procedure on a patient who was getting worse by the minute and was in imminent danger of death.
[snipped]
The woman who underwent the procedure is in her 20s and had a history of abnormally high blood pressure when she learned of her pregnancy. After she was admitted to the hospital with worsening symptoms, doctors determined her risk of death was nearly 100 percent.

While Driving Through Downtown Shelton
One of the former regulars on the Daily Whose Name Shall Not Be Mentioned comments section, once claimed he located his business in Shelton to avoid the.....uh.....people of Downtown Olympia.
While driving through Shelton today, I noticed several young folks with backpacks standing outside the Shelton Community Shelter in Downtown. A little further along, I saw a man that was Hispanic, thus he is probably illegal. Then I noticed a young man in a black hooded sweatshirt carrying two huge plastic bags of crushed aluminum cans - most likely an anarchist that was trying to make everyone be a tree hugger or was a lazy unemployed person that subsides by taking recyclables from other people's dumpsters. On the other side of the road was a guy with long hair and a beard, who was trying to fool me into thinking he was a logger with rigging jeans, suspenders and a Hickory shirt. It was obvious he was a dope smoking hippie.
I'm thinking Downtown Olympia is taking over Downtown Shelton. What next?

Mad Santa
One particular Christmas season a long time ago, Santa was getting ready for is annual trip, but there were problems everywhere. Four of his elves got sick, and the trainee elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular ones so Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule. Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her mom was coming to visit. This stressed Santa even more.
When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out, heaven knows where. More stress.
Then when he began to load the sleigh one of the boards cracked, and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys. So, frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum.
When he went to the cupboard, he discovered that the elves had hidden the liquor, and there was nothing to drink. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider pot, and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw end of the broom.
Just then the doorbell rang, and irritable Santa trudged to the door. He opened the door, and there was a little angel with a great Christmas tree.
The angel said, very cheerfully, "Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't it a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?"
Thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

The Atheist Strikes Again!
He was talking about a prostitute, not a homosexual.
Throughout the Bible, the act of homosexuality is forbidden, and although God gave them up to their vile passions, the eternal punishment for all sin remains. Every last one of us is guilty of sin, and will be equally judged. Christ gives us the one and only way to avoid that eternal judgment.

There is ONE vague reference to homosexuality in the Old Testicle and some other blather in the New. That's it.

Oh noes, teh ghays are taking over
Today the Olympian's resident fascist homophobes fell all over themselves freaking out over the repeal of DADT. Caestus (aka Sondrak) quickly devolved into burbling her usual Dadaisms to herself, JoetheIndependentBathroomCruiser strapped on the Rapture Helmet and went all jihady on us, but 2Edged out-did the rest of the sock drawer morans with a 13 hour long stream of obsessive perverted droolings. From that tower of Right Wing thought:
Hey, Just for your info, I don't look down at my junk after a night of hot sex with my wife, wondering if, what is that spot, and an itch.
I know Baby Monkey Going Backwards on a Pig is a shoe-in for the Thursties, but surely this bit of obscene incoherence deserves an honorable mention.

The "No Labels" Party
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Something to Cheer About
By Donna Brazile | December 16th, 2010
The U.S. Congress is fast approaching the end of its lame duck session, and its weary members are anxious to return home for the season of good will. Now is a good time to survey the latest news to see where America is and where it might end up before federal lawmakers return next early in the New Year.
Let’s start with some good cheer. This past week, seasoned political veterans of both major political parties came together in New York City to launch a movement called “No Labels.” They will focus on finding politicians “who are genuinely willing to work across party lines to solve problems.” Note the word “genuinely.”
Two of its founders are the skilled and experienced Washington insiders Republican Mark McKinnon and Democrat Nancy Jacobson.
McKinnon and Jacobson occupy the middle ground. They are but two of 1,000 founders who make up a long list of political “heavy-hitters.” Can this nonaligned movement replace the insurgent tea party Republicans? Time will tell.
One thing for sure is they’ve used their connections to attract an incredible array of political and celebrity endorsements, including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and retiring Indiana senator Evan Bayh. Rapper star AKON donated an appearance and performed a song he wrote: “No Labels.”
I hear the approaching sound of a thousand trumpets calling the hopeless to unite. Watch this one. They’ve been working low-key since last spring and are ready to beat to a nonpartisan roll call.
Next up: What’s the matter with the tea party movement? I warned, though many of you readers disagreed, that tea party candidates who ran as Republicans would have a price to pay. Now, those who won are indebted for party campaign funding and subject to the Republican leadership discipline.
The tea party patriots have found this prediction true. Before the clock strikes midnight on Jan. 4, they will have circled the nation’s capitol raising money from lobbyists seeking earmarks and other political favors.
Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank uncovered instances of tea party-elect congressmen and women, who ran on pledges of no “business as usual,” now making the pork-gathering rounds of powerhouse lobbyists’ holiday parties, or accepting party fundraising checks made payable to them but sent to a suburban address, not their home town. Hmmm.
Sweet irony. After two years of hard work to portray President Obama as a card-carrying socialist, and using that canard to justify their obstructions, the Republican leadership reaped their fruits: Obama had no choice but to agree to an extended tax holiday for the wealthy.
The rolling thunder from the conservative movement continues to paint Obama as simply “the other.” Yes, the other conservative preventing a tax increase on the middle class while ordering a pay freeze on federal workers’ salaries. Mr. President, just say no next time, and save the taxpayers from borrowing billions from China to keep your critics satisfied.
Meanwhile, card-carrying socialists are more than a little insulted by the Republican assertion that the president borrowed their agenda.
Billy Wharton, co-chair of the Socialist USA Party, told the Christian Science Monitor this summer that he not only would not call Obama a socialist, “I am not even sure he’s a liberal…”
Roger that, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
