Feast on the Dada theater that is the Tea Party nee Teabagger movement.
This gem from Politico's coverage of the Tea Party Express national convention:
Yet, Chuck Smith, a 66-year-old convention-goer from the Knoxville area, said "it may be too early for the movement to have a leader. I think Sarah Palin is more of a symbol of a grass-roots, everyday, hard-working American fighting back against Big Government."
Sarah as a symbol for the American hoi poli.
Rich.
And just a paragraph down:
"I see her as possibly becoming the media face of the movement, kind of like Al Sharpton is the official black guy," said Mark Williams, an official with the group.
Sarah Palin: The Al Sharpton of the Jacobin Right.
Priceless.
And finally:
We proved that this movement is more than just standing and yelling at big buildings; and we are just getting started. Michigan Tea Party spokemodel commenting on a rally held around June 14th, 2009
Yell at buildings. Not all buildings mind you. That would be crazy. Just the big ones.

Anon - I edited out the excess space after your text. Hope you don't mind.
Sarah is the spokesperson for "everyman", especially after we find out that Todd got to play governor and they clandestinely build getaways.
Yeah.... and I'm U Thant.
Thanks for cleaning up code. I'm still wrestling with mark up language. How 2005 of me.
Sarah is a bundle of MetaPolitics that necessarily strays into some very weird psychology.
The Tea Bagger Party has leaders. They operate in the shadows and fear exposure because it would kind of blow their whole "grass roots" cover if they were exposed.
They should really just re-brand themselves as the AstroTurf Party. It's a far more accurate description.
Didn't their big Convention in Nashville only get about 600 people? It was a corperate for profit event.
