Someone tell me where I live

Sam Hunt won’t resort to tricks
There is an old trick in politics that says when you have nothing to say about yourself, try to find something wrong with your opposition.
Rep. Sam Hunt needs no such tricks.
His continuous service in the Legislature speaks for the trust instilled in him by his constituents.
A civic leader, former educator and 25-year resident of Thurston County, the people know who Sam Hunt is. Sam will let them find out what they need to know about opponents.
Sam Hunt is the safe vote for the 22nd District.

Tobeck is the superior candidate
LARRY HILL; Olympia • Published September 20, 2010

Corinne Tobeck, former director of a business organization, brings a new opportunity to the residents of the 20th District representation.

We have observed Rep. Richard DeBolt serve his employer, getting tax breaks and considerations and then watching the employer eliminate 600 good-paying jobs in our market, to import their own product mined at a less expensive location.
At the April 15, 2009 tea party rally in Chehalis, he whipped up a frenzy with his bullhorn chiding taxes to a crowd that obviously doesn’t know about his special interest discounts.
Let’s elect representation for the people.Tobeck is the answer for the 20th Legislative District.

Just a reminder this same person endorsed Sam Hunt in June (see http://www.theolympian.com/2010/06/23/1281562/letters-to-the-editor-for-june.html ) When that person was asked in the comment section what district he lived in he said the 22nd. Now he is endorsing a candidate in the 20th (where he stated previously he actually lives). This person has a history of deception and false statements and his word should not be trusted by anyone. I'm not exactly sure why the Olympian even bothers printing his letters when they know the history surrounding this person.

The letter’s topic is DeBolt’s relationship with his employer, TransAlta, and how he used his position as Representative for the 20th District to gain extensive special-interest tax breaks for TransAlta. Nothing in the letter discussed TransAlta’s environmental failings. The other commenters are using the tried and true conservative method of attempting to divert attention away from the stated topic by attacking the letter writer. As usual, when they don’t have anything accurate to say, they automatically revert to sliming the messenger.

Making a judgement based on the credibility (or lack of) of the author of a written piece is indeed relevant information. This letter has the same credibility as if Tiger Woods were writing about the importance of honesty and trust in personal relationships.

I couldn't agree more, radec. Credibility is the name of the game. Since I NEVER said I lived in the 22nd District (I live in the 20th) you have lied.

To all readers - if you click on the link to the June LTE you'll find that the old "Pluck" text is gone, thus radec can claim anything it likes. Those that recall know that I created a one time account with my real name and clarified that, although I live in the 20th, I supported Hunt as a friend and serving the interests of the progressive movement in Washington State.

On tiny planet radec, almost everything is tiny, especially minds (egos are one exception). No one there, has any personal acquaintance w/ any legislator outside their tiny world, so no one would ever think of endorsing a candidate from another district.

radec kinda lost the battle today.

Although the moderation of the comments was slow (probably purposefully) The O finally deleted the worst false accusations.

While talking to 98507, we determine that the June 23, 2010 comments from The Olympian are screen capped and archived in 98507's safe little vault. When time prevails, a blog will be posted to expose radec's lies today.

Let's just leave it that radec had several "deleted for abuse" posts on June 23, 2010
