More limited "free" speech on the Olympian's site?

So what in the hell was wrong with that posting? Other commenters have posted items about breaking news without having the comments deleted.

I've given up on trying to understand The Olympian's Terms of Service policy.

Either my comments stay or they don't. If we could encourage more people to post on ThurstonBlog, I'd probably not post on The Olympian at all, but I enjoy the activity and traffic that The Olympian has.

I used to post exclusively on Olyblog, but they homogenized it so much there is nothing of substance.

The one thing that occurred to me is that someone thought that Wyo's link represented advertising or spam and nobody at the Zero bothered to even look at what the link led to.

Larry, I am intrigued by your Olyblog comment. Care to expand?

Anon:

I thought everyone knew of my issue with Rick.

In particular, I made a comment to the effect that Aaron Mason got sexual pleasure from banning people (definitely satire) and Mason contacted Rick "threatening" lawsuit - to which I said....bring it on. (I wanted to see him demonstrate that 1 - He didn't get sexual pleasure from said act and 2 - that my saying such was an attempt to convince people that he did. Rick gave in to Mason, although I was willing to take the brunt of the "lawsuit"

Now, I guess this might be much like me deleting your statement, except I encouraged the open discussion and Rick tried to chastise me in open forum for not "thinking community". It opened the door for a policy that denied satire. Incredibly boring.
