"Because "facts" & "logic" do not support their opinions without a good amount of twisting/bending/adjusting. They present other opinions as "facts" and use those opinions to create/support "logic". They have a goal in mind and then go about creating "logic" to support it.
Taxes to high? Cut them! How? Stop spending! Little or no consideration is given to the actual effects of such action. People will be hurt? Tough!- It's their own fault. More people will be put out of work? Tough - they need to get better training and/or a better job! Too many "illegals" in the country? Kick them all out, ignoring the costs of arresting/holding/transporting them.

Ignoring the costs of replacing them in our workforce. Ignoring the number of industries brought to a standstill and the number of legal citizens thrown out of jobs when those places shut down. More people will be put out of work? Tough- the need to get better training and ... ad nauseam . Little thought, no true consideration or planning, just a series of knee jerks."
