Brown Wins Massachusetts Senate Seat

From all appearances, it looks like Brown has won Ted Kennedy's former Senate seat. Talk is already coming out of the DNC about poor campaining on the part of the Democratic candidate and a few other issues.

There is no sense in crying over spilled milk, so let's talk about what happens from here. The Olympian LTEs are full of childish rhetoric and taunts of celebration. I'm interested in what people really think this says and what happens next.

Your take?

I just started paying attention to this and it took about 10 minutes to discover Cloakley ran a weak, complacent campaign. It sounds like she has about zero charisma. Brown held 66 events to her 16. She took most of December off. She made fun of Brown shaking hands in front on the stadium at a Sox game, like it was beneath her. It's just one race and certainly not a referendum on healthcare, but the Dems are going to have to act like they want it with unemployment at between 10-18%. If it wasn't for the fact that it was Kennedy's seat, I wouldn't care. I am hoping this will build a fire under Obama's ass and get him to start delivering on more of his promises and quit pandering to Wall Street.

All this means is that the GOP can be even more obstructionist..

Of course, the conservatives will blame it all on the Dems, while wearing blinders as to how the GOP is shutting down the work that needs to be done...

I say some of the "Blue Dogs" had their fun putting up such a weak candidate, that said, we should go for it thru reconciliation, don't think the repubs wouldn''t!
