No offense intended

OK....I'll fess up my secret. I used to read National Lampoon Humor Magazine back in the early 70s. Nothing....I mean....nothing was sacred or politically correct...which is part of what made it so funny.

One particular cartoonist, Charlie Rodriguez, was hilarious. You may remember his cartoon called "Charlie", a crudely drawn black and white of this little man that ended up in some kind of a disaster at all times. Ol' Rod passed in 2004, at the age of 77 and his stuff is hard to find. I went hunting for "The Aesop Brothers" - George and Alex - who were Siamese twins, a staple series in Lampoon for many months, but there is nothing on the web. George and Alex portrayed the problems of conjoined twins - having to take a shit, trying to get laid......you get the picture.

If it was "off limits", Charlie took George and Alex through it.

While hunting for material, I did come across this tidbit that Rodriguez did on "Homosexuality". WARNING - you have to think outside the box on these. Go ahead and be a little sick in your sense of humor.Seriously, I do pledge, that if anyone is offended, I'll pull this off the blog. But since I'm reminded of Independent Voter's rant about homosexuals, I couldn't resist.

Enjoy.....I hope.....

OK....I'll admit...I'm getting nervous about no comments on this.

Did everyone notice that the character screaming "goddam faggots" still has an umbilical cord attached to the old woman knitting?

Thus my Indy reference

Well, Larry, I was not offended by it, and I chuckled at the vision of the effeminate-looking son (note the stance of his feet and legs) still attached to his mother, so I didn't feel a need to ask you to delete it. If it offends IV, I guess it's a perfect use of bandwidth! :-)

Oh hell...I wasn't worried about IV. I WANT to piss him off.

Have to wonder why IV is so focused on gays...

Was it Jim West/Wiest(?)-- the legislator from eastern Washington -- who was so rabidly anti-gay until he got caught?

People who are happy with their own sexuality don't usually concern themselves so much with that of other folks.

Olykay, not only Jim West (Senate Majority leader), but it was also a representative from Vancouver.

Very true and telling.

Hey, I'm gay, and that cartoon doesn't offend me a bit..

I think IV focuses more on gay sex than I do...
