EliminateHyperbole blocked

In what seems obviously to be retaliation for whatever wrong is presumed, "EliminateHyperbole" was "blocked" from posting on The Olympian.

Now mind you there was no violation of rules, but that doesn't seem to have anything to do with commenting on the community forum of The Olympian.

For starters, they tried to delete each post and leave the moniker and avatar up (neener neener)

Then they just blocked the account and wholesale deleted the comments, lock, stock and barrel.

I'd say someone has her knickers in a bunch

That is why I suggested that each of us keep copies of what we post in the Zero's comments, either by simply copying the texts and pasting them in a document or by making PDFs of the pages they appear in. Of course, the paper's staff could say in either case that the copies weren't accurate, but it would be up to them to prove that they weren't!

Also they would have to prove their motivation for deleting the comments.... they might not want to open that can of worms. :-)

I'm testing the "flagging" system as we speak.

I think that is the culprit.

It's the old "engage and complain" that they used to pull on Pluck.

Right now, Tammy is ripe for the picking because she is pissed off.

This was what cost Aaron Mason his moderating position. It's stupid to engage with the readers, regardless of what you think of them.

When I was the GM of the Elma Chronicle (brought in to save it from its dying days), I had a local pastor get his undies in a knot over us running a horoscope column. He went running all over town (takes about three hours) organizing a boycott of the newspaper. It seems that freedom of religion and freedom of speech weren't part of the same Amendment in his history class. Bluntly, the guy was an asshole.

What did I do? I let him write a guest editorial, ripping us a new asshole.

What happened? Many of the community leaders complimented me because they thought the same of this guy as I did.

Tammy isn't secure enough in her own skin to allow someone to critize her, thus she is getting the ThurstonBlogger's Clogfest.

The funny part is that I'm not the one laying it on the thickest. Anon was pretty mild until she suspended him.

She's making no friends.
