(This is the text of an email I sent. "Mr Machine" is obviously the scroller who has hacked the software on the comments forum - see my comments on another blog)
I came home from the grocery store, logged on and found this going on. If you’ll take a look at ThurstonBlog, you’ll note that I sense that something like this was happening, with all the deletions and such. It looks like I was right, but I don’t appreciate false accusations, especially since Independent Voter seems to be so sensitive.

Elioron, MrMachine's "empty space" posts are certainly no worse than some of the posts here that are filled with inane text.

That was exactly what used to happen to us on AOL chats.
Either there would be gobs of white space or a single character posted over and over. Creative ones would choose a two or three word phrase - either profanity or their "political message".
If the perp has shared the tool with several people, you can pretty well figure that the forum will be toast until The Olympian gains control.
I doubt they have the resources. Watch for the forum to close permanently, in my humble opinion.
