RedForeman: I like that you consider MCSers royalty, but, it's mostly us commoners who end up ill. I am one of many whose lives have been devestated by this illness. We are workers, veterans, sons, daughters, moms, dads, often without suitable housing. People with MCS generally come from 4 groups:-Industrial workersAcute and chronic exposure to industrial chemicals-Tight building occupantsOff-gassing from construction materials, office equipment/supplies, tobacco smoke, inadequate ventilation-Contaminated communities-like Saginaw, Mi!Toxic waste sites, pesticide spraying, ground water contamination, air contamination from nearby industry-IndividualsIndoor air (domestic), consumer products, drugs, and pesticides

I followed Red's comment with "sorry about your optical rectitus" and the King of Complaints whined to the moderator and my "comments are being reviewed". This is funny considering Red has been badmouthing ThurstonBlog for two days and bitching about Sondra's "hidden" comments.
For those who don't know, "optical rectitus" is a condition where there is a severe strain on the optic nerve that pulls your eyeballs through your asshole and gives you a shitty outlook on life. I think it was the perfect response to Red's attack on DNO, who obviously suffers from a debilitating disease.

I'd nominate him and a few others for an optharectomy to cure that problem.
DNO provided a lot of good info, and red comes back w/ a narrow-minded, obnoxious response that should've been deleted just for being snotty. So who said they couldn't work and wanted money?
The socks have been very busy.

Gee, Too_Opie, you've done your share of twisting words, so you have a lot of nerve accusing others of doing it.

Winer -
No one said they couldn't work and wanted money, which is the real insult that Red tossed out, along with his lunch.
My wife suffers from one of those diseases that people would like to poo poo and has worked all her life. There isn't enough money on SSI to feed yourself. A grown up would know that by reading his annual report.
Red made it clear that he was going to "report everything Larry posts" and let The Olympian decide.
Since the "death threat" debacle and my telling The Olympian to go jump in the bay from now on, the "rules" have been twisted a bit against known ThurstonBloggers.
Whenever red or another one of the knee-jerking idiots is so quick to suspect someone of wanting something for nothing, or to "live off the taxpayers", it makes me think he'd love to do that himself if he only had the opportunity. Another selfish "if I can't do it, I don't anybody else to, either" attitude.
I have a friend who was diagnosed w/ MCS over 10 yrs. ago, after a year of being sick and going to a number of drs. before finding one who knew what it was, and then going through several months of chelation treatments to get things under control. She worked through all of that and continues to work, as she has her whole adult life.
I was diagnosed w/ fibromyalgia in '94, after going to several drs. and all kinds of PT treatments following a twit of a car accident, and I've never used it as an excuse to not support myself, either. I know of several other people w/ fibromyalgia, some of whom are co-workers, and they're all working, too.
An interesting thing about fibromyalgia is that it seems to affect women more than men, and in fact, of all the people I know who have it, none are men, which begs the question, is it hormonally related? Also makes me wonder if it affected more men, would more people accept it as a real medical condition?

Apparently, for the Olympian, some may call names, and that's acceptable.
IV, aren't you calling names when you use language like Marxist? To whom are you referring?
.
.
And of course ALG's most reasonable comment disappeared while ENGEL's inane parsing:
"Marxist plans"
Clearly IndependentVoter was not referring to a person. "Plans".
And calling something what is it is not "calling names" unless those words have been redefined by the left as well."
remains.
A long and dreamless sleep to the Olympian on-line crew.
Oh hell, while I'm issuing Liberal Fatwas, let me order an uncomfortable existence for Sondrak, a delightful same sex moment at next week's Gay Pride for IV, a swarm of Mexican shop lifters for Red, a functional brain for slobada, and enforced homelessness for dalecon.
I invoke the grace and power of The Kenyan Marxist Nazi Muslim Messiah. My will be done.
A_t_G, I'll call upon my Salem forebears for reinforcements to make sure nobody wiggles out!
